The Rena Chetram Memorial Bell Fund
Named after Mrs. Rena Chetram, who died in early-2021, she was a lover of the bells and longed to hear them ringing again. With seed money from her family, a fund was established to get the bells ringing again. We are trying to restore one of the five original cast bells in our historic bell tower so they will ring in time for the 125th Anniversary Celebration in November! The restoration of one bell, mechanical striking system, and digital controller will cost just over $17,000. To date, the fund has raised over $12,000--so we are $5,000 short for November. Restoration of the remaining four bells over the next few years will cost $7,200 per bell.
